Poker Bluffing

If you only win pots when you have the best hand,  then you can expect to be playing against opponents who are not schooled in poker.  At the same time, if you try to win all the pots even if you do not have the best hand, expect to be a poker loser.  You will need to learn the art of poker bluffing. 

Poker bluffing is just one way to steal in poker.  Poker bluffing is a form of stealing.  Having an effective poker bluffing strategy results in some of the most critical income a player can create.

Know when to bluff?  Most poker players bluff in all the wrong situations. Many poker players bluff from last position or when a big pot occurs.  In addition, many poker players bluff in games where it is often true that nobody has much (like Holdem or Lowball) or after they raised before the flop.  Know when to use a poker bluff.  While a poker bluff might sometimes be appropriate in the above situations, usually they are all wrong.  Remember, poker  bluffing is a deception.  In other words, you are trying to look like you got sumthin’ when you got nuthin’.  Therefore, it normally is not a good idea to bluff when the other poker players are expecting you to bluff.  In addition, it normally is not a good idea to use a poker bluff in situations where the opponent would at least think about poker bluffing to win the pot.

As a rule, you should think about poker bluffing in situations where your opponent would never think to bluff.  It is not what makes sense, but what your opponent thinks!  Thus, try poker bluffing from early position or perhaps try poker bluffing small pots.  In addition, you might try poker bluffing when you take three cards in draw, not when you take one.  This move will likely throw your opponent off his or her game since it really is not expected!

Remember, poker bluffing involves tricking and deceiving.  So do not be poker bluffing when your opponent expects it.  And remember, do not use poker bluffing when your opponent would bluff.  Remember this rule, poker bluffing  only pays when you get away with it.
